Sonia Brill, LCSW, CAMF, is the
founder of SB Consulting, LLC, an anger
management, conflict resolution, and emotional
intelligence training center in Denver.
Sonia is a certified anger management
facilitator, executive coach, and
psychotherapist. She received graduate-level
training from New York University (1994) and
post-graduate-level training in Group and Family
Work from the Albert Einstein College of
Medicine – Group and Family Institute, New York.
Sonia began her career working with the homeless
and mentally ill at Bellevue Hospital in New
York City. In this, her most humbling and
empowering position, she was given the
opportunity to transform individuals who were
non-responsive and conflicted to become
functioning members of society. Although this
was a transformational experience for her
clients, it, too, was transformational for Sonia
— she realized that, with knowledge and
guidance, the human spirit can thrive.
Sonia has been fortunate to work in high-tension
settings — such as psychiatric hospital
emergency rooms — and in more varied
environments, such as her psychotherapy private
practice, for the last 12 years, effectively
applying skills to reduce tension, threat, and
conflict so that peaceful resolution can occur.
For the last three years, Sonia also has
provided extensive training on anger management
and emotional intelligence assessment for
physicians, professionals, and couples who are
faced with divorce in the Denver, Colorado,
area. Often, Sonia works collaboratively with
child family investigators, judges, and the
courts to address and resolve anger management
concerns for divorcing couples.
The training is offered nationwide. Many of her
clients reside in remote parts of Colorado and
Nebraska, plus the metropolitan Denver area,
which includes Denver, Boulder, Arapahoe,
Jefferson, and Douglas counties. Sonia has been
a contributing writer for
Divorce
Edition magazine.
She has appeared on
News 9,
and is releasing her first anger management
training book “Relationships
without Anger”.
